encouraging start
The first season of the Deal Town FC youth section has been a strong and encouraging start, marked by competitive performances, player development, and growing club support across all age groups.
The Under 13s, led by Kevin, Joe, and Richard, enjoyed an excellent campaign, finishing second in the league and reaching the league cup final in Maidstone — the youth section’s first-ever cup final appearance, as well as having one of the best defensive records across all age groups and will also record over 100 goals in a season shows what a great team they are.
The Under 14s, managed by Pete, Josh, and myself, have shown consistency and determination throughout the season. With only a few fixtures remaining, they are currently on an impressive 12-match unbeaten run.
The Under 16s, led by Dean, Keith, and Doug, have also had a successful season and are likely to finish runners-up in their league while progressing deep into multiple competitions. A major highlight has been several players stepping up to Under 18s and even Under 23s football.
“ Development has been the priority, with players progressing into higher levels of football. ”
The Under 18s, guided by Steve, Pete, and Shaun, have competed strongly in the KYL Premier League. Development has been the priority, with players progressing into higher levels of football. First-team appearances from James Fielding and several Under 23 opportunities highlight the success of the club’s pathway model.
Building a pathway
A key objective for the youth section has been building a clear progression route into senior football, and competing strongly across all age groups demonstrates a solid foundation. Strong parental support, both at youth matches and first-team fixtures, reflects the club’s community spirit.
The backing of sponsors, particularly Goody, has played a vital role in establishing the youth section and creating a professional identity from day one.
The recent news of the merger between Deal Town Rangers and Deal Town FC is excellent news we are pleased to be able to inspire players from the earliest age within the community.
