Andrew Nixon, Deal Town Director of Youth provides an update on the weekends Kent Youth League fixtures across Deal's youth teams.

A really positive start to the new Kent Youth League season for Deal Town, with all but one of our sides getting their first competitive fixtures underway.

Our Under-13s played their first competitive game, travelling away to BayPoint. Despite the result going against them in a 3-1 defeat, it was a great experience for the boys and an important first step in their journey.

Our Under-14s produced the result of the weekend, travelling to face Dover Athletic, last season’s league champions. The boys put in a fantastic performance to come away with an excellent 3-0 victory. 

The Under-15s were due to travel to Cuxton, but unfortunately their fixture was postponed.

At home, our Under-16s faced Bredhurst Juniors, narrowly losing out 4-2 after a competitive game.

 Our Under-18s played at the Charles Ground, sharing the points with Phoenix Sports following a 1-1 draw.

Overall, it’s been a really good start. Most importantly, it was fantastic to see the boys back out on the pitch, representing Deal Town and wearing our new kit.
