Dover Athletic Res 3 Deal Town Res 2 Deal ended their Floodlit campaign with a defeat to Dover Athletic at the crabble. In an entertaining game spoiled by the officials Dover claimed all three points from a free kick on the edge of the penalty area in the last five minutes. The home side started well and pinned Deal back in their own half but their pressure didn’t really trouble Towns keeper. After about 15 minutes Deal showed their battling qualities and started to compete and the match swung in their favour when a through ball across the Dover defence found Chris Wyles who calmly slotted home the opener for his 19th goal of the season. With Deal in the ascendancy it was a surprise when Dover equalised even though there was a suspicion of offside. This didn’t dampen Deal’s spirits as they restored the lead when Jason Gilmore collected a throw in from Godden on his chest powered into the opposition penalty area and smashed the ball past the Dover keeper. With their tails up Deal should have gone further ahead on the stroke of the whistle when not for the first time Wyles out paced the Dover defence to set up Ben Hibbert who missed his chance as the Dover defence tried in vein to block his effort. Dover started the second half as they did the first equalising in the first 5 minutes. One of the many errors from the official in the middle Mr Harnett, Dover were awarded a corner that Deal failed to clear and the loose ball was smashed through a congested box and past the Deal Keeper. Deal responded well with Wyles putting the ball inches over but it all went wrong for Deal with the loss of Davis and Godden through injury plus Waddon (a dreadful decision by Harnett again dismissing the Deal Skipper). Deal had lost their impetus after that and the game looked to sliding to a draw when the referee again gave yet another dubious foul to Dover when their player clearly slipped. The resulting free kick nestled firmly in the back of the Deal net. All in all this competition proved to be a good experience for the reserves this time around after the successes of the previous season. Deal: Ben Buckingham, Gary Beeddon, Gary Miller, Joe Cullen, Matthew Gilbert, Louis Waddon, Kelvin Davis (Adam Upton 60 mins), Jason Gilmore, Chris Wyles, Roy Godden ( Luke Biggington 65 mins), Ben Hibbert (Robbie Egan 60 mins)

Deal Town 1 Greenwich Borough 2 The last game of the season saw Deal denied what looked a certain penalty in the first few minutes of this game and then both teams created chances to score with Deal's best effort being a Stuart Vahid header from a corner and at the other end Deal keeper Paul Rogers pulling off a couple of fine saves. The first half ended with Josh Davidson going off injured to be replaced by Jack Collins. Early in the second half Greenwich had the ball in the net but it was ruled out due to a foul on Paul Rogers then down the Greenwich end Robbo had a header saved. Then in the 58th minute came a breakthrough for Greenwich with a goal from Sisson. Greenwich were then given a penalty but Paul Rogers who was still recovering from an injury sustained in the penalty incident dived to his left to make a fine save. In the 77th minute Hunt scored a second for Greenwich and Deal tried to get back into the game with a shot from Jack Collins and then a header which was tipped over the bar by the Greenwich keeper. Then came a goal for Deal from a shot by Aaron Robinson in the 88th minute and Deal then pressed for an equaliser but ran out of time.
